Enola Holmes 2 review : A teen detective on board!
A new detective is in town, young and sharp-minded. If you have heard of the great Sherlock Holmes, and are a fan of his investigation stories, his little sister would also be a delight for you. The Enola Holmes 2 movie brings you the best teen drama with a blend of crime thrillers.

The Mother Holmes:-
Part 1:
In the first part of film, the Holmes family is introduced. A family of bright minds with an unusual way of living.
Eudoria Holmes, being the mother, raises her three children (Sherlock, Mycroft, and Enola) to survive well in this cunning world. The youngest is the bubbly girl who spends most of the time with her mother, who is also her teacher, mentor, friend, and the sole companion.
All her teachings become apparent when Enola faces the world to find her missing mother. Her investigation brings her close to the hard truth of society and the bravery of her mother. She evolves from a nurtured girl to a brave, smart, and independent woman.
Part 2:
However, in the second part, Eudoria plays a role of surprising aid to her mischiefs. A situation which not even Sherlock can cure, their mother and her friend come to the rescue.
She tends to look out for their children while working on their social responsibilities. Her intentions of molding them independently gets clearer in the movie. However, her mother instincts are never deprived.
The frequent love:-
Part 1:
Along the journey, she meets a potential suitor named “Viscount Tewkesbury” who’s on his own personal escape. The two fight a killer following their adventures and share some friendly moments along the way. Growing fond of each other, the two must part their ways to accomplish their destined tasks. Yet the hope of meeting again resides in their hearts.
Part 2:
In the sequel, she reunites with Tewkesbury, who is a renowned lord now. Her investigations often bring Tewkesbury in the picture, reminding her of her feelings for him. Finally, when she’s close to solving the case, she is accompanied by Lord Tewkesbury and Sherlock Homes. In the end, Enola Holmes and Lord Tewkesbury both share some heart-touching moments of love.

The Elder brother:-
Enola’s relationship with her elder brother Sherlock is sweet and sour. While they both argue over almost everything, when working together, they feel an emotional need to protect each other. Thus, proving no better partnership to solve crimes.
One thing that I admire from the scenes is how Enola unknowingly learns so much from her brother and Sherlock while keeping his clam, discovers a new side of Enola’s personality. She outruns his expectations, while he continues to protect her in a non-controlling way.
Casting: –
The lead character played by Millie Bobby Brown is certainly the most remarkable performance in the movie. It seems that she understood the character well and tried to put on her face through little attention to details like expressions, accent, and body language.
Supporting her role, Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge, and Helena Bonham Carter prove their excellence through the scenes dedicated to them. However, the villains of the movie do not seem to woo as much as expected.
Following is the Main cast of Enola Homes 2:
- Millie Bobby Brown casted as Enola Homes
- Henry Cavill casted as Sherlock Holmes
- Sam Claflin casted as Mycroft Holmes
- Louis Partridge casted as Tewkesbury
- Helena Bonham Carter casted as Eudoria Holmes
Overall review:-
This British drama holds a special place in everyone’s heart as it elongates the great name of “Sherlock Holmes”. However, this movie is more concerned about the fun in investigations and emotional rides of joy and sadness. Something that would be hard to find in a crime investigation story.
Enola Homes 2 continues the comedy, adventure, suspense, and thrill throughout the movie. It will glue your eyes to the screen till the end.
Since it’s a periodic drama, the language, sounds, themes, and characters seem fairytale-like. Hence, it is a suitable choice of entertainment for all age groups.
The climax is not predictable and the plot brings out a lot of feminist issues of that time, which is appreciable.
Just like the first part, it grows on you. You’ll be waiting for the next part after the end.
